Speaking at the Euranet Awards, Martin Schulz underlined the role of the press in defending the fundamental rights of citizens.
Martin Schulz: "The Euranet Award is a new award, but an important one, because you, as journalists, as participants, with the proposals you made, you have contributed to a debate which is for us, in my eyes, the most important one for the time being - the debate about European values".
