Contra la corrupción deportiva
El Parlamento Europeo ha pedido más implicacion a la Comisión en la lucha contra el amaño de partidos en las grandes ligas europeas. Una práctica que mueve al año miles de millones de euros.
El objetivo es la lucha contra la delincuencia organizada relacionada con las apuestas deportivas y de arreglo de partidos. El Parlamento Europeo quiere también el compromiso de los Estados miembros para que introduzcan sanciones. Los eurodiputados proponen códigos de conducta para los jugadores, funcionarios y personal técnico, y sugiere el desarrollo de programas de educación a nivel nacional, para hacer frente a este problema.
Pay a referee, bribe a player ... corruption in sport, that is nothing new. But lately it has been experiencing a blast. The European Parliament and Commission want to fight against this corruption. They want to preserve the spirit and values of sport. The war against corruption is therefore declared.
Fight against corruption in sport
MEPs asked the European Commission to take measures to prevent match-fixing in the major European leagues, a business worth billions of euros each year. According to the resolution adopted by the plenary, the Member States must work together to combat corruption in sport and introduce common penalties against the offenders.

It is the biggest betting scandal in football history in the world. The European police agency Europol has nearly uncovered 400 match-fixing in Europe and even more worldwide.
